Rare Gilded Age George Truog “Heavenly Symphony” Covered Biscuit Jar – Cherub Etched EAPG Treasure

Step back to the elegance of the 1890s–1910s with this exquisite covered biscuit jar (also known as a cracker or cookie jar) etched in George Truog’s beloved “Heavenly Symphony” pattern from the Maryland Glass Etching Works.

The straight-sided glass body features a full wrap-around acid-etched scene of cherubs (putti) frolicking among delicate floral branches and blossoms—one cherub plays a violin in the “heavenly symphony,” while others dance and interact in joyful poses. The matching dome lid with crystal knob finial completes the whimsical design, all on a classic Maryland pressed blank with ribbed pedestal base.

In outstanding pristine condition—no chips, cracks, haze, or wear—the etching glows with sharp, frosted detail that catches the light beautifully. A functional and decorative standout for any antique glass collection, Victorian table display, or as a unique storage piece with historical charm.

Those cherubs tell a story every time you look—perfect for adding to your Heavenly Symphony set or standing alone as a cherished display piece.
