Pope-Gosser “Rose Point” Gravy Boat
beautifully proportioned vintage creamer from Pope-Gosser’s classic Sterling line, produced in the early 1940s. This piece features a soft ivory glaze with delicate hand-applied floral garlands in warm blush tones, finished with subtle gold edging along the rim and foot. The sculpted silhouette and gentle crazing give it that unmistakable mid-century elegance without feeling fussy.
Marked POPE-GOSSER / CHINA / MADE IN U.S.A. / STERLING / 42 on the base, placing production firmly in the World War II era—a time when American ceramic makers were producing some of their most refined domestic wares.
Condition is excellent for age, with light age-appropriate crazing and no chips or cracks noted. A lovely addition to a vintage tea service, holiday table, or china cabinet, and equally charming used every day.
A quiet, graceful survivor from America’s golden age of home entertaining—easy to live with, easy to love.
