Antique Prussian Large Bowl

Antique R.S. Prussia Rose Bowl — Circa 1900
A beautiful example of turn-of-the-century European porcelain, this large decorative bowl was made by Reinhold Schlegelmilch of Prussia and carries the classic R.S. Prussia wreath-and-star mark on the underside.
The bowl features a softly shaded pale aqua-green ground, delicate golden roses, raised beadwork, a dramatically scalloped rim, and hand-applied gilt detailing. The floral decoration and elaborate molded form are characteristic of the richly ornamental porcelain produced by R.S. Prussia around the turn of the 20th century.
